Grounding
Grounding is a method used to help you feel more connected to the earth and her energy, grounding can help you calm down and relax the mind and to help centre yourself for spell and ritual work.
Here’s a method to help you ground yourself
Sit or lay down in a quiet space
concentrate on your breathing, breathe in for 4 and out for 4 to help steady your breathing
as you start to relax picture yourself in a woodland, an open meadow, by a waterfall or anywhere that you feel safe. Pay attention to the sounds and sights that are around you.
Imagine that you can feel the ground beneath your feet and concentrate on the feeling of the ground beneath your feet.
Now imagine that energy roots are coming from your feet, these roots reach down into the ground and connect with the energy of the earth.
Sit for a while and picture yourself sharing your energy between you and the earth.
Centering
Centering is a balance of your emotional and spiritual self, when you are stressed or upset you can become uncentred which can make you feel that everything is all over the place, you can feel confused, stressed, feel disconnected and that you are in a muddle.
Ways you can centre yourself
Self-care - take a walk, read a book, make sure you’re getting enough sleep,
